What is AWANA?

AWANA stands for “Approved workman are not ashamed” from 2 Timothy 2:15. The goal of AWANA Club is to reach children with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to train them to follow Him. We strive to do this through memorizing scripture, learning about God’s Word, games, and building friendships.

Family night and pizza party will be Monday, Sept. 29, 6:00pm. All AWANA children and their families and all leaders are invited. The theme is come as you are.  Wear gym shoes for games. Do you have friends who are vetted or could be vetted that you think would be a loving, Christ-like AWANA leader? Please invite them to serve in this evangelistic, discipleship ministry.  Pray and reach out today to someone!  Contact Terri.

Evening Schedule

  • Large Group

One of the focuses of the lessons will be on the night’s Bible verse, giving clear understanding of what the verse means and how it applies to your children.

  • Small Group

Children will be in small groups with leaders. There will be a time of interaction and prayer.

  • Games

Super fun games are planned and enjoyed by all the Clubbers. (Please have your child wear gym shoes when coming to AWANA.)

  • Awards

Scripture Memorization: Cubbies, Sparks, and T&T will be learning and memorizing scripture. Those who participate will be eligible to win the Award of Merit Medallion at the Awards Ceremony at the end of the year.

Timothy Award: We encourage families whose children want to work towards completing their Timothy Award to do so.
