Children's Ministry
Birth - 6th Grade

The Children’s Ministry at Christ Community Church works alongside parents in helping children establish a strong, Biblical foundation upon which to build their lives and develop a faith that, in God’s timing, will lead them into personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

First time at CCC? One of our volunteers will greet you, help you find the right room for your child, and help you get them checked in and registered.

  • Sunday Morning (Christian Education)

    Birth - 6th Grade @ 9:00-10:10am

    Location: Children's Wing

    Dates: Every Week

Our Children's Ministry offers Sunday School classes for children birth through sixth grade. Each week your child will engage in interactive and fun age-appropriate Bible lessons in a supportive and caring learning environment through games, crafts, activities, and music. Our teachers are dedicated to helping your child understand God's Word, the importance of faith in Jesus Christ, and the development of a Christian worldview. We will have Bibles available; though, children are welcome to bring their own.

    Birth - Age 3 @ 10:30am

    Location: Children's Wing

    Dates: Every Week

During the 10:30 worship service, we offer childcare for children birth through three years old. Parents can pick up their child whenever the service ends.

  • Monday

    Awana @ 6:15-8:00pm

Location: Children's Wing, Chapel, and Gym

    Dates: September - April

The acronym AWANA comes from the first letters of the phrase, "Approved workmen are not ashamed" (2 Tim. 2:15). Our AWANA program exists to reach children with the gospel of Jesus Christ, and to train them to follow Him. Each week our children memorize Scripture, learn about God's Word, play games, and build friendships. We offer programs for three age groups: Cubbies (3 years - Pre-K), Sparks (K - 2nd grade), and Truth & Training (3rd - 6th grade). To learn more, click the link below.

Children's Ministry FAQs

  • How do I register my child?

If this is your first time at CCC, one of our volunteers will greet you, take you to the right age-appropriate classroom, introduce you to the teacher and help you get your child registered.

  • How will I know if my child needs me?

On the registration form you will be asked to indicate where you can be found during the Sunday School hour (9:00am) and the Worship Service (10:30am) as well as your number to text you if your child needs you.

  • What are your diaper-changing & restroom policies?

Diaper-changing is done by qualified adult female volunteers only. Our nursery and preschool classes have a restroom just outside of the classrooms. All children are escorted to the bathroom by an adult female volunteer. If a child needs assistance, a qualified female volunteer will accompany the child and help as needed.

  • How do you handle allergies?

We ask for child allergies on the registration form that parents fill out at their first visit. The only snack we offer in the nurseries is goldfish and water.

  • What should my child bring?

If you have a diaper bag for your child, please be sure that it is clearly labeled. Older children may bring Bibles to class. Water is available, but children are welcome to bring their own water bottles. We recommend that other personal items stay at home or with parents.

  • Do volunteers get background checks?

Yes, all of our volunteers go through a screening process that includes an application, interview, and a background check.

  • Is there a mother's nursing room?

In the children's wing there is a baby nursery room available for nursing mothers. In the sanctuary lobby there is also a mother's nursing room located in the west stairwell.
